Scarlett and Rowdy make hanging out on the front porch of the baseball team’s house a Friday night ritual. Their banter is comical and at first, I wasn’t sure if Scarlett was going to be a likable Heroine but as the story progresses she becomes lovable. Scarlett gets escorted out of the house by the captain of the baseball team, Rowdy Wade. She’s practically dragged by her two best friends to a party at the baseball team’s house where she soon gets labeled a ”cock blocker” by a couple of guys. She’d much rather spend a Friday night alone in her apartment, binge-watching something on Netflix with a glass of wine, instead of going to a house party on “Jock Row”. While the Hero of the story is one of the most popular jocks on campus, the Heroine, Scarlett, is what would be considered a “wallflower”. Rowdy and Scarlett start off as enemies but quickly turn into friends and although it did seem as though there was a little bit of “insta-love” happening, it didn’t negatively impact the plot. You can’t help but fall in love with him. Rowdy Wade is beautiful, cocky, funny, but most of all he has a big heart. The Hero is every woman’s dream come true. JOCK ROW, the first book in the ”Jock Hard” series was FABULOUS! This story had just about everything I LOVE in a good sports romance.
